HCL Technologies CEO Siva Nadar, Wipro Chairman Ajim Premji, GMR Founder Grandhi Mallikharjuna Rao and Bollywood actor Vivek Oberai have found place in the list of world personalities who have been spending part of their fortunes for the development of educational opportunities for poor children in India.
Forbes Asia releases the list of Heroes of Philanthropy every year after taking into account the philanthropic activities undertaken by the philanthropists for the welfare of the society and for social development.
This year the contribution rendered by people towards the development of educational opportunities for poor students was given priority in the selection of the heroes.
