Rejecting the request of the Telangana political JAC to postpone its programme, the TDP Telangana Forum launched its Bus Yatra today as per their earlier schedule. The Yatra will run for 10 days across Telangana covering each district a day.
The TDP Telangana MLAs, who were the first to quit their assembly seats demanding the separate state of Telangana, launched the Yatra after offering tributes at the martyrs’ memorial at Gun Park in the city.
Telangana Praja Front leaders Gaddar and Vimalakka extended their support to the Yatra and flagged it off by waving the Telangana flag. Earlier, the TDP leaders met JAC leader Kodanda Ram and sought his support for the Yatra.
Kodanda Ram requested them to postpone the Yatra but the TDP leaders politely rejected it saying that they had already announced the Yatra schedule.
