Reacting to the statement of YSR congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy that he was not in a position to give or obstruct the Telangana state, the Telangana political JAC convener Prof. Kodanda Ram said Jagan has the capacity to demand Telangana.

“Jagan may not have the capacity to give Telangana but he can demand the centre to give Telangana state,” Kodanda Ram told media persons today in Hyderabad.

Welcoming Jagan’s statement that he would respect the Telangana sentiment, Kodanda Ram said he should give a statement demanding the Congress and the Central government to declare Telangana. “Respecting the sentiment is just not enough,” he said.

Meanwhile, several JAC leaders also asked Jagan to spell out his stand clearly as there was ambiguity in his statement on Telangana. They told Jagan to state whether he is in favour of forming Telangana or not.
