SRC on Telangana not acceptable: KK

keshavraoRajya Sabha member and senior T congress leader K. Keshava Rao made it clear that they would not accept any thing less than Telangana formation.

Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad today after a meeting of the T congress leaders in the house of MP Mr Vivek, he said constituting the second SRC (States Reorganization Committee) would not be acceptable to them.

“But we are ready for a discussion of the future of Hyderabad city as the Seema Congress leaders are having objections on it,” he said.

Steering Committee formed

To sustain the tempo generated by their resignations and take the Telangana movement forward, the congress MPs, MLAs and MLCs today formed themselves into a steering committee to decide on their future course of action.

As their first programme of action, the T congress leaders will go on a 48-hour fast from tomorrow morning demanding the formation of Telangana state.

The steering committee, which will draw the road map of agitation for achieving T state, will be guided by its two chairmen Minister Jana reddy and Rajya Sabha MP Mr K. Keshava Rao. It will have Ponnam Prabhakar and Basavaraju Saraiah as conveners and Vivek and Komatireddy Rajagopal reddy as coordinators.

The committee will also have four official spokespersons and 16 members, according to T congress leaders.
