On this day 50 years ago, the blockbuster movie ‘Jagadeka Veeruni Katha’ in which the late legendary actor NTR acted with four heroines including B.Saroja, Jamuna and L.Vijayalakshmi, was released.

The Vijaya Productions movie, directed by the great director Mr KV Reddy, left an immortal stamp in the minds of the Telugu audiences and even after 50 years after its release, most of Telugu audiences feel elated by recollecting some of its scenes and songs.

The lyrics such as Varinchi Vachhina Manava Veerudu, Aynademo Aynadi and Jalakalatalalo of this movie stole the hearts of millions of Telugu cine goers and even today the demand for the DVDs of this movie is on a high.

As the Telugu movies of the present day are devoid of worthy stories, gentle and light comedy, audible songs and dialogues and of course memorable scenes, the demand for DVDs of the movies of this ilk is going day by day.  Long live the great old Telugu movies!
