Three persons were killed and two others severely injured when a big five-faced idol of Lord Hanuman crashed on them in Khanapur of Adilabad district this morning.

The unfortunate incident occurred whey they were working on the idol which is yet to be installed. The idol work was going on for several days and is about to complete shortly. The injured were admitted to the local hospital.

Eyewitnesses said several persons were working on the idol when the incident took place. Police have rushed to the spot after hearing the news and have retrieved the badly mauled bodies.
