World conference of Telugu writers opens

ramojiThe 3-day second world conference of the Telugu writers began today at the Tummalapalli Kalashetram in Vijayawada with Eenadu Chief Editor Ch. Ramoji Rao as the chief guest.

Inaugurating the conference, veteran writer and Jnanpeeth Award winner Dr C. Narayana reddy called upon the Telugu writers to work towards preserving the Telugu language and Telugu literary wealth.

Both Ramoji Rao and Narayana Reddy unveiled the statue of Telugu Talli in the Kalashetram campus amid the presence of veteran writers Mandali

Buddha Prasad, Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, Malathi Chandur, K. Rama Rao, Padmabhushan KE Varaprasada Reddy and others.

Hundreds of Telugu writers and poets are attending the conference which would also have the presence of some top writers of Urdu, Hindi and other Indian languages.
