The police department has provided security to Mr Vijaya Sai Reddy, vice chairman of the Jagathi Publications and a close lieutenant of YS Jaganmohan reddy, president of the YSR congress party.

He was provided with 1 plus 1 gunman security from Wednesday and a gunman was seen accompanying him yesterday when he attended the CBI office for interrogation. For the last two weeks, Mr Vijaya Sai reddy has been regularly attending a grueling CBI questioning session in the case registered against Jagan for allegedly possessing illegally accumulated wealth.

He wrote a letter to the Additional DGP of intelligence wing and also to the DGP on Tuesday alleging threat to his life from the congress and TDP leaders and seeking security for him. He alleged that congress and TDP leaders are trying to eliminate him and then put the blame on Jagan later.

Both congress and TDP leaders rejected the charges and said the letter was a ploy to defame them. “Mr Vijayasai reddy faces a threat to his life from Jagan as he knows most of the latter’s secrets,” both congress and TDP leaders said.
