The congress high command has asked the Union Minister and in charge of congress affairs, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad to submit his report on Telangana by this month end, according to reports. The high command is likely to announce its decision on the issue in the month of October.
Azad asked the CM, Mr Kirankumar Reddy and the PCC chief, Mr Botsa Satyanarayana to come to Delhi in the last week to elicit their views on the demand for separate Telangana state. He wants to know their views on the issue and incorporate them in the report being prepared by him.
He has already completed the discussions with both Telangana and Seema Andhra Congress leaders on the Telangana issue at the instance of the high command and is preparing a report with his recommendations. His report will also include the opinions of the CM and the PCC chief.
When Kirankumar reddy and Botsa Satyanarayana arrive in New Delhi in the last week, they may also discuss with Azad the issues of cabinet expansion and filling up of the posts to various government corporations.
