RTC bus goes wild, kills one person in city

HARISH-RAOAn RTC bus, driven by a newly hired temporary driver, went berserk in Krishnanagar of Yousafguda in Hyderabad this morning killing one person and injuring several others. The killed person was identified as auto driver Mallesh.

The driver of the bus, plying on Secunderabad–Kondapur route, lost control of the vehicle as breaks failed and let the bus drift on to pedestrians and the vehicles parked near a footpath. The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital and the condition of one person was stated to be serious. The incident took place when the driver was taking a reverse.

While the driver ran away from the scene soon after the accident, police recovered the body and sent it for postmortem.

Harish rao resorts to Dharna

Aiming at political mileage, TRS leader Harish Rao kept the dead body of Mallesh at the Jubillee check post and resorted to dharna along with his party supporters demanding the RTC to withdraw its services in the city.

In the melee, some TRS supporters pelted stones on buses and damaged window panes. The TRS supporters left the place after the police intervention.
