The state government today presented the prestigious Lata Mangeshkar Music Awards-2011 to   noted singers Mr Sankar Mahadevan, Chitra and Sunitha at a function in Hyderabad.

The annual awards, sponsored by the state government and presented every year to eminent singers and music personalities on the occasion of the birth day of the veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar, were given away to the recipients by the senior officials of the department of cultural affairs and the state cultural council at the Ravindra Bharati.

The awards presentation ceremony was followed by a musical programme rendered by the three great singers. Ravindra Bharati was fully crowed by the music lovers who thronged in since early morning to witness the ceremony.
