Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh informed the CPM General Secretary Mr Prakash Karat that the Centre has been taking all possible steps to solve the nagging Telangana issue at the earliest.

The Prime Minister gave this information in his response to the letter written by Karat asking the former to solve the issue immediately as the AP people are suffering a lot because of the mass general strike which entered its 23rd day today.

Jogu Ramanna to join TRS

TDP revel MLA Mr Jogu Ramanna said today he would join the TRS on Oct 10 for the sake of Telangana.

Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad after meeting the party president K. Chandrasekhara Rao who returned from Delhi, Mr Ramanna said he has decided to join the TRS as it is the only party which is striving to ensure the formation of Telangana state.

Governor accepts resignation

Governor ESL Narasimhan has accepted the resignation of the Minister Komati reddy Venkatareddy today. Mr Reddy has submitted his resignation to the Governor three days ago protesting against the delay in the formation of Telangana state.

The chief minister Kirankumar reddy has asked the Governor to accept the Minister’s resignation from the cabinet.
