Narasimhan rules out Prez rule

NaraismhanAP Governor Mr ESL Narasimhan said today there is no possibility of President rule being imposed in the state.

Speaking to media persons in Delhi after a hectic schedule of discussions on Telangana with several Union Ministers and the Prime Minister, Narasimhan said that the Centre has been working on a solution on the Telangana issue and will announce it soon.

Ruling out the imposition of President’s rule, he said the word President’s rule has become fancy for several people including journalists. “An elected Government is in place in the state. There is no necessity of President’s rule in the state,” he said categorically.

Even Union Minister Mr S. Jaipal reddy too told media persons that the issue of President’s rule has never come up for discussion at any point of time in the Telangana talks.

“I have a clear cut opinion on Telangana and I have openly expressed it to the high command on the issue,” he said adding that there was no discussion on President’s rule.
