Mr Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy, who was elected to the legislative assembly in the Banswada by election on the TRS ticket, today took his oath as assembly member.

Assembly Speaker Mr Nadendla Manohar administered the oath to Mr Srinivasa reddy in his chambers in the presence of some TRS MLAs.

Meanwhile, senior TDP leader of the Telangana region Mr Vijayarama rao found fault with the oath taking by Srinivasa reddy. “It is very unfortunate that Pocharam Srinivasa reddy took the oath as MLA while most of the T MLAs are planning to resign,” he told newsmen at the TDP office in Hyderabad today.

Mr Vijayarama Rao charged the TRS of trying to increase its number of MLAs in the assembly by asking the MLAs of other parties to quit and contesting the by polls. “The TRS should have introspection whether it is in need of attaining Telangana state or increasing its strength in the assembly by preferring to have by elections,” he said, adding that the TDP is still committed to its argument of boycotting the elections.
