Dasari Padma, wife of veteran Tollywood director Dasari Narayana rao, has died of prolonged illness in Hyderabad today.

Mrs Padma was admitted to the Yashoda hospital at Somajiguda on Tuesday as her health condition had deteriorated. Notwithstanding the efforts of specialist doctors to save her life, she breathed her last early this morning.  According to family sources, the end came at 4.30 am.

Padma was the producer for several movies directed by Dasari Narayana rao under the banner Tarakaprabhu films. Padma was also into politics and she worked as the president of the women’s wing of the Tamil Nadu congress for some period.

Several Tollywood celebrities visited the hospital and conveyed their condolences to Dasari Narayana rao and his family members.
