T solution by Centre after Bakri-id: PC

ChidambaramUnion Home Minister P. Chidambaram today hinted at a statement on Telangana issue by the Centre after the Bakr--id festival on Nov 6.

“Perhaps, there could be some statement after the Bakr-id festival on Nov 6 on the pending Telangana issue,” Chidambaram reportedly told the AP Governor Mr ESL Narasimhan when the latter called on him to discuss the AP affairs on the sidelines of the conference of Governors in Delhi.

Chidambaram told Narasimhan that his colleague Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad briefed on the Telangana issue in the last core committee meeting in detail but the process of taking a decision is delayed because of the festival season.

Solution soon to T issue: Botsa

PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana told a media conference in Hyderabad that the congress high command has taken a serious view of the Telangana issue and is committed to find a solution to the problems soon.

“The MLAs who have left the party have left it for personal gains and selfish ends,” said Botsa, adding that the three MLAs have acted in hurry.

Asserting that the Government can prove its majority in the assembly, the PCC chief said that time only will tell which party will merge with which party. “No one should be surprised if the TRS and the YSR Congress merges with the congress,” Botsa said, refusing to elaborate further.
