
The government proposal of Mee Seva centres which provide all the government services to the people in easy manner at one place, is moving at a rapid pace. This is the brain child of the Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy. In the process the CM is flying down to Tirupathi today. He shall inaugurate the first Mee Seva counter of the state at Mahathi Auditorium by noon.
The first “Mee Seva” centre would be inaugurated by CM in Chittoor district on Friday. Earlier Information Technology and Communications Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah said that the `Mee Seva’ centre would provide 12 services to customers including providing certificates like Adangal, Records of Rights, Income Certificate for students and Residence Certificate. Each certificate would be issued at a nominal fee of Rs 30.
Mee-Seva’ centres are a pilot project, in order to provide all the government services to the people in easy manner at one place. At present the government services were being provided to the people through the 107 AP online centers, 22 e seva centers and 34 common service centers. The government had issued Rs 10,000 for the organising members of each service centre to mould them as Mee Seva centers as per government norms. The buildings housing Mee Seva service centres will be of the same colour and will have 150 to 200 square feet dimension. The computer operator table, counter and other furniture shall be same in all the Mee Seva centers.
