Addressing a media conference in Lucknow after the UP assembly passed resolution for dividing the state into four parts, Mayawathi alleged that the AP Assembly Speaker had kept his decision pending on the resignations submitted by the representatives of the Telangana area seeking separate state.

“He must take a decision immediately on the resignations,” she said.  “The congress leadership must pass a resolution in favour of separate state of Telangana and the Centre must act on the issue immediately,” she said.
