TDP president Mr Chandrababu Naidu reasserted his earlier statement that he was neutral on the issue of Telangana and the decision should be taken by the Centre.
Addressing a media conference in Delhi today after meeting national leaders and seeking their support on the issue of farmers’ problems, Chandrababu said his party remained neutral on the demand for separate Telangana state. “We have taken this decision long back in out party,” he said. “The Centre should take a decision now,” he said.
He said the Telangana issue has emotionally charged up the people of both Telangana and Seema Andhra areas and he has remained neutral for the sake of not hurting anyone’s sentiments and emotions.
Chandrababu said the Kirankumar reddy government in the state has not been concentrating on the administration and is not caring for the numerous problems of the farmers. “If the Government doesn’t care for the problems of the farmers, we will introduce no confidence motion in the winter session of assembly on the issue,” he warned.
He said the farmers have announced crop holiday and are resorting to suicides but the government has been unmoved on the problems.
