The High Court today dismissed a petition by YSR Congress president Mr YS Jaganmohan Reddy who sought the cancellation of the special CBI court orders directing the CBI to furnish copies of documents and files seized during the raids on his premises to the IT wings of Hyderabad and Bangalore.
The IT officials of Hyderabad and Bangalore sought special CBI court direction to CBI to hand over to them copies of all documents seized during the raids on houses and offices of Jagan. The court agreed and directed the CBI to furnish all copies to the IT officials.
Jagan challenged these orders on the ground that documents seized in one case can’t be handed over to another department and there is no rule to support the decision.
The High Court dismissed his arguments as frivolous and said there is no wrong in CBI handing over the copies of files or documents seized from him to the IT. “The IT officials can take whatever they need from the CBI,” said the HC while dismissing his petition. (JUBS)
