TDP is likely to serve a notice of no-confidence motion against the Kirankumar reddy government in a day or two. Former Chief Minster and TDP Chief Mr Chandrababu Naidu took the decision at a meeting of party leaders at NTR Trust Bhavan this morning.
Briefing media persons after the party meeting, senior leader Payyavula Keshav said that the party leadership has decided to issue the notice as soon as possible in the wake of reports that the winter session will last for only five or six days.
The TDP leaders are of the view that an early notice will enable the Business Advisory committee of the Assembly to take a decision on timing of discussion and voting on the motion.
Previously, the TDP has served a notice for no confidence motion much earlier before the election of the Speaker and the assembly didn’t take up the issue as it possibly violated the rule that a notice for a no-confidence motion must be given during the session of the assembly and not earlier.
It is yet to be seen whether the House will take up the TDP notice of no confidence motion in case it is served tomorrow or day after tomorrow even before the monsoon session begins. (JUBS)
