The first day of the winter session of the state assembly ended abruptly without transacting any official business as the Speaker Nadendla Manohar adjourned it following pandemonium created by the TDP on its no-confidence motion.
As soon as the members assembled, TDP said it served a notice for no confidence motion and demanded discussion on it. Speaker Nadendla Manohar adjourned the assembly for an hour.
When the house reassembled after the short adjournment, the TD insisted on a discussion again on their no trust motion amid Speaker’s repeated appeals to maintain calm in the House. With the TDP members in no mood to listen to the Speaker, Manohar asked the CM to introduce condolence resolution on the recent death of the congress attached member Mr Rajeswara Reddy.
Even as the Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy and TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu are engaged in a discussion on the etiquette of the house, Speaker declared that the house adopted the condolence motion and adjourned the House till Friday. (JUBS)
