Srilakshmi’s nightmares not yet over

The nightmares are not yet over for the tainted IAS officer Ms. Y. Srilakshmi in the illegal mining case involving the former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan reddy. Presently, she is out on bail after spending a day in the Chanchalguda jail.

Even as she is busy using all her high level contacts for revoking her suspension at the moment, the CBI has hinted at including her name in the supplementary charge sheet which will be submitted to the court in a few days.

Though the CBI has not mentioned her name in the charge sheet already submitted to the court, the investigating agency specially submitted a 15 page document to the court along with the charge sheet explaining her role in the illegal mining case.

CBI officials have made it clear that her name has not been included in the charge sheet as the Centre has not yet given its sanction for her prosecution.
According to sources, the CBI will add the names of Srilakshmi and another retired IAS officer B. Krupanandam in the supplementary charge sheet once the department of personnel and training (DoPT) gives sanction for her prosecution. (JUBS)
