Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy today directed the Excise Commissioner to take immediate steps to ensure that liquor is sold in all liquor shops across the state as per the prescribed MRP under any circumstances.
The CM passed on these directions to the Excise Commissioner when the latter called on Kirankumar reddy at the Secretariat this evening.
Kiran told him to give more publicity to the possible health hazards emanating from drinking alcohol as is given in case of smoking across the country. Similarly, CM has also asked him to effectively control the production and selling of spurious liquor in the state.
Regarding the smuggling of cheap liquor from other states into AP, Kirankumar asked the official to take immediate steps to ensure that no such liquor flows into the state. (JUBS)
