Jagan joins hands with KCR

As a prelude to the possible electoral alliance between the two during the 2014 assembly elections, YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan reddy had reportedly promised the TRS Chief KCR that he wouldn’t put up candidates for the forthcoming by elections in the Telangana region.

Reports said that Jagan first thought of putting up party candidates in the by polls but later changed his mind and decided to extend full support to the TRS candidates with a view to defeat both congress and TDP candidates.

Political grapevine says that Jagan has already conveyed his decision not to put up candidates to KCR and both of them decided to work in close coordination as a prelude to a bigger electoral alliance during the next general and assembly elections.

YSR congress party leader Konda Surekha also revealed that she would contest as an independent candidate at Parakala and as part of the understanding, the TRS may not put up candidate against her.

Since the by polls in Seema Andhra area are not going to be held along with the by elections in the Telangana region, Jagan seemingly decided to take advantage of the situation in Telangana first by extending support to the TRS and defeating the congress and TDP. (JUBS)
