The AP Administrative Tribunal today stayed the interviews of the APPSC Group-1 candidates till Jan 20.
Admitting for hearing a batch of petitions filed by some Group-1 aspirants that there are blatant errors in the English translation of the Group-1 papers, the Tribunal asked the APPSC to file its counter on the petitions.
The APPSC lawyers filed its counter by submitting the exam key but sought more time to file additional information. The Tribunal asked the APPSC to file its additional counter by Jan 20 while suspending the interviews till that date.
The Group-1 examinations have become controversial with majority of the candidates from the Tirupati centre being qualified for the interviews. The exams have disappointed majority of the candidates who took the exam in Telugu as few Telugu candidates were qualified for the personal interviews.
Most of the candidates who were asked to attend final interview wrote their papers in English medium. (JUBS)
