Lord Balaji of the Seven Hills at Tirumala received revenues to the tune of Rs.1700 Cr during the year 2011.

TTD said in a statement that, out of the total revenue, Rs.1100 Cr was earned through the donations in the Lord’s Hundi and Rs.200 Cr through daily ticket sales and interests on bank deposits.

The rest of the revenues accrued in shape gold jewelry donated by devotees. The statement said that devotees numbering around 2.2 Cr visited the temple and had darshan of the Lord in 2011. (JUBS)
