Is Coordination committee proving too much for `Kiran Sarkar’?

To revamp the feuds at the party level and to work out a consensus between the government and the party, a Coordination committee (CC) was formed in the state Congress party. The party is headed by the state in-charge Gulam Nabi Azad. And others included, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Deputy CM C Damodar Raja Narasimha, PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana, former PCC President D Srinivas, Eluru MP Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, Praja Rajyam Party (now merged with Congree) Tirupati MLA Chiranjeevi and former Minister Md Ali Shabbir. In spite of the noted agenda of the committee, the CM is feeling a bit suffocated in the given atmosphere, feel sources.

The CM who is working against all odds to prove that he is a working CM, had to tide over hurdles created by the CC. The last meeting held by the CC proved disastrous for the CM, who must be dreading the next one due in the third week. True that the CM had deftly handled many crucial issues, single handedly, on a bed of thorns unlike his predecessors. But still the high command preferred to have a CC as a hurdle for him. In fact he had voiced similar opinion to the State in-charge too, but in vain. The CM must be feeling, as per sources, that instead of appreciating his strategy to rebuild the lost image of the party, the CC is discouraging his enthusiasm by questioning. On the other hand if the CC really helps his administration by looking into the successful implementation of the welfare schemes, then it would boost the party’s image.

Hope the CC and the CM settle scores and look into what best could be done for the benefit of the people.
