Mr Miriyala Venkata rao, chairman of the Kapunadu, today asked chief minister Kirankumar reddy to give up his anti-Kapu stance.
Addressing a media conference in Hyderabad, Venkata rao and other Kapu leaders warned the chief minister they would bring the issue to the notice of the party high command if he didn’t change his attitude towards the Kapu leaders in the congress party.
“Because of the pressure the chief minister brought on the high command, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana has become voiceless in the party,” they charged, adding that it wouldn’t be good for the CM to continue with his tactics any more.
Ready to extend support to Chiru
Venkata rao offered to extend his community support to mega star Chiranjeevi if he worked for achieving social justice in the state.
Venkata rao and other Kapu leaders said that Kapu community people would solidly back Chiranjeevi if he worked with the main aim of achieving social justice as promised by him in the past.
Demanding that Kapus must be enlisted as a BC community, Venkata Rao said they are ready to extend support to TDP or even YSR Congress party if they came forward to make a BC leader the chief minister of the state.
“Leaders of upper castes, accounting for only 3 per cent of the state population, are dominating the state politics,” he charged.
Kapunadu leaders Mr Chenchal rao, Suryachandra rao and Appa Rao also addressed the media conference. (JUBS)
