Indian academician and professor of business administration at the Harvard Business School (HBS), Mr Krishna Palepu has been appointed as a senior adviser to the President of the Harvard University.
Mr Krishna Palepu, a senior associate dean for international development at HBS, will guide the prestigious University formulate its strategies at the international level. A veteran of three decades of teaching experience at the HBS, Mr Palepu will assume his role immediately.
Palepu did his post graduation in Physics at the Andhra University and joined the HBS faculty in 1983 after receiving his doctorate in management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Krishna Palepu also attained a postgraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta and was conferred honorary doctorate by the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration.
Palepu will guide the University in its future strategies in strengthening its international fundraising activity by engaging the Harvard alumni living abroad. Expressing his readiness to take over the new challenge, Krishna Palepu said he was looking forward to work in close cooperation with the HU president Mr. Faust. (JUBS)
