Senior congress leaders and activists are unhappy with the Union Minister and in charge of the party affairs in AP Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad’s 2-day visit to Hyderabad that ended on Sunday.
Most of the ministers, MLCs and MLAs, apart from some senior party leaders and workers wanted to meet Azad but he refused to give appointments to any of them during his stay in Hyderabad.
Azad arrived in Hyderabad Saturday evening and participated in the state congress coordination committee meeting for about three hours. State congress leaders were informed that he would be available at the Lake View Guest House during most part of Sunday for meeting party leaders and activists.
While hundreds of party activists, some Ministers, MLAs and MLCs waited at the Guest House for his arrival, they were informed that Azad would be available at the Gandhi Bhavan only. Very much disappointed, they all then left for Gandhi Bhavan and by the time they reached there, Azad left the place after meeting a few leaders just for one hour.
