The on-going verbal war between the Tollywood actors Balakrishna and Chiranjeevi has spread to their fans and blossomed into a full-fledged physical war between both the groups.
The first indications of the developing war between supporters of Chiranjeevi and those of Balakrishna came as they took to the streets and burnt the heroes’ effigies displaying utter animosity against each other in Nellore town today.
Taking objection to the tirades of Balakrishna against the mega star, Chiru fans took to the streets and gathered in good numbers at the busy Sri Vivekananda Centre in the town. Raising slogans against Balakrishna, they burnt his effigy.
Within minutes, hundreds of Balakrishna fans gathered there and burnt the effigy of Chiranjeevi raising slogans against him.
The development led to a physical clash between fans of both heroes and there was a push-push situation on the streets for a while. Luckily, police arrived in good numbers and lathi charged them to help restore peace in the area.
Political observers are of the opinion that people of the state can expect more entertainment from both the heroes as well as their supporters.
