Deploring the attitude of the TDP in stalling the proceedings of the assembly on the liquor issue, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana criticised the party chief Chandrababu Naidu for his obsession with the liquor syndicates issue.
Speaking to media persons informally after the assembly was adjourned till tomorrow, Botsa asked Naidu to think of the other problems faced by the people. “Why are you obsessed with the liquor issue when there are several problems in the state?” Botsa questioned the former chief minister.
Observing that congress leaders have nothing to do with the liquor syndicates, he asked Naidu to obtain a copy of the ACB report under the RTI Act and know the details of the scam.
Naidu, Kiran hand in glove?
Earlier, in a sensational statement, Botsa alleged that TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu has been hand in glove with the Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy on several issues.
Speaking to journalists, he said the appointment of Information Commissioners is an example to say that the CM and the former CM had colluded.
“The CM said the selection of the Information Commissioners was made with the consent of all concerned. TDP leaders also announced that Naidu sent a decent note on the issue to the CM. What does that mean?” he asked.
Botsa however later withdrew his remarks and clarified he never meant to say that Naidu had conspired with CM. “I have never used the word ‘connivance’,” he clarified. (JUBS)
