Telugu TV channels have run short of news flow since this morning thanks to the festival Maha Siva Ratri and most of the time they are airing the news related to Siva temples, devotees’ queues, Abhishekams in temples, transport services to various Siva temples and some interviews of the devotees.

Whatever channel you tune to, you will find the Siva temple news at Amaravathi some time and that of the Kalahasti temple some other time. Or it could be any other Siva temple at a far off place.

The problem arose as most of the politicians are busy visiting the temples for the festive occasion without sparing time for allegations and counter allegations at media conferences. The politicians have fixed appointments with Lord Siva for the day for his blessings for gaining more energy for their indulgence in spat over useless and trivial issues.

The channels, which boast of telecasting breaking news, majority of times with false details and misleading information without proper verification, have been running riot on Lord Siva whole day.

This, however, could be a blessing in disguise for the news watchers over various channels which spared them for the day from the nagging, timid and suffocating dirty statements of politicians of different political parties. (JUBS)
