Delhi Police and AP task force teams today raided brothel centers in Delhi and rescued 30 Telugu girls including some minors. The raids took place on houses and lodges near the Kamala Market area.

The raids were conducted on a tip off provided by a rescued Telugu girl and reports said 70 girls from other states were also reduced from the brothels.

The police teams have started counseling them at a police station and have decided to send them to their respective houses in AP. “We found some of them under the influence of drugs. If they are ready to reach their homes, we will send them after counseling. Those who are not willing to go to their houses will be entrusted to the care of some NGOs,” said a police official.

Sources said police have also taken into custody a group of people who forcibly turned the girls into prostitution. (JUBS)
