A major fire broke out in the Sai Cotton Mill at Nandyal in Kurnool district this afternoon. The exact reasons for the fire accident are not yet known.
Reports said that cotton bales worth Rs.60 lakh stored in the campus were gutted in the fire. Fire tenders were on job extinguishing the fire when reports last came in.
Senior police and civil officials have visited the mill and are trying to trace out the reasons for the fire accident. (JUBS)
