In a sudden spurt of diarrhea, 50 persons were hospitalized with symptoms of the disease in Krishnavaram village of Agiripalli Mandalam in Krishna district this morning.

All the victims were admitted to the Government General Hospital at Vijayawada and condition of four of them is stated to be serious. Senior health department officials have rushed to the village. (J)
