The accused in Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy’s disproportionate case, Vijayasai Reddy was released on Monday on a conditional bail. The CBI second additional special court in Nampally that granted bail to Vijayasai Reddy asked two sureties worth 25 thousand rupees each. The court also directed Vijayasai Reddy not to leave the city and told him to handover his passport.
Based on the Supreme Court earlier indication that bail can be granted to an accused despite the availability of primary cues. The justice has said that it was improper for CBI to state that Vijayasai Reddy can manipulate the proofs if he is granted bail. He has also said that Vijayasai Reddy has so far not violated the conditions laid down by the court.
It maybe noted that earlier CBI special court granted bail to Vijayasai Reddy and CBI sleuths challenged it in the high court. The high court that has asked the court trying this matter for relooking into it. It may be recalled that Vijayasai Reddy was the auditor of Jagati Publications and CBI stated him as accused two in the charge sheet while Jagan became accused number one.
There is so much of criticism from the public for CBI not arresting accused number one in the case. (Phani)
