By-poll results will be declared tomorrow. The by-polls were conducted on June 11 to 18 assembly constituencies and one Lok Sabha constituency. The fate of the candidates, which was sealed three days ago, would be revealed tomorrow. This by-poll was said to be like a challenge for Congress and YSR Congress parties. While top leadership in Congress exuded confidence that they would at least win a couple of seats, Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal disappointed the party leaders and activists stating that YSR Congress would sweep the by-polls. PCC chief Bothsa Satyanarayana has, however, said that the statement made by Lagadapati was mere personal and nothing to do with the party.

The experts are of the opinion that in case YSR Congress makes a clean sweep in by-polls, then chances for Congress retaining power in the state would be grim.  Anyway, one has to wait for a few more hours to know which party came out with flying colours in by-polls.
