Unidentified gunmen have opened rounds of fire on a motorcyclist in old city area on Thursday and fled from the scene. The victim, who was identified as Sameer, was rushed to Osmania General Hospital swiftly. The doctors have said that Sameer was out of danger. The incident has alarmed the police as it occured in the sensitive old city area where riots took place many a time.

The sources have said that, miscreants who opened fire on Sameer, came in an autorikshaw. The incident took place in broad day light and none could at least trace the number of the autorickshaw. The police said that they have registered the attempt to murder case and they would investigate the case. They have also said that old rivalry could be one of the possible reasons behind the attack.
