Jagan gets nod from court to vote in prez poll

YSRC chief and the prime accused in illegal assets case, Jaganmohan Reddy got permission to vote in the presidential election. The CBI Court permitted Jagan, who's at Chanchalguda jail in Hyderabad under judicial custody, to vote in the July 19 election. It may be noted that Jaganmohan Reddy filed a petition on Monday seeking permission from the Court that he be allowed to exercise his right to presidential vote. Jaganmohan Reddy will cast his vote on the assembly premises in Hyderabad.

It may be noted that Jaganmohan Reddy was arrested by the CBI on May 27 and was produced before CBI Court on May 28. He was charged for dolling out favours to certain individuals, who invested in his company, with the influence of his father, the then chief minister late YS Rajasekara Reddy.  Jagan earlier even applied for a bail but the Andhra Pradesh High Court turned it down after convincing with the arguments of CBI that Jagan could influence the witnesses in the case.
