Parade Grounds decked up for Pandrah August

On the eve of Independence Day (called as Pandrah August in Hyderabad) celebrations on August 15, Parade Grounds near Patny Centre of Secunderabad is getting ready for hosting several cultural programmes besides parade by police personnel. It may be noted that hurling of the Indian Flag has a special significance at Parade Grounds and scores of Hyderabadis arrive at Parade Grounds and salute the tri-colour flag.

In the wake of these celebrations, tight security arrangements have been in place at Parade Grounds. As many as  1200 police personnel beefed up in and around Parade Grounds and took that area under their control. Also, traffic restrictions came into affect near Parade Grounds. Also, no cameras and cell phones would be permitted into the grounds.
