Of course this is not going to evoke response from many viewers as the figures we normally see are comparatively much.....much higher. And not much for us to talk about this. But even a small figure dwindling is a crime is it not.... The authorities have unearthed a scam in the Anatapur Sub Registrar office. And the case is regarding siphoning of Rs 34 lakhs that would have otherwise fallen in to the exchequer directly.

As per the allegations one Rajaratinam and officer in this office had undervalued the stamp duty on property documents that came up for registration. By doing so he siphoned the funds from the beneficiaries. But how he swallowed the funds and who else are connived with him are yet to be ascertained. Watch this space for more updates on the issue, presumably on Tuesday as the authorities are trying to gain evidence of the figures and the involvements. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
