The CBI court has extended the judicial custody of Gali Janardhan Reddy to September 26. Mr. Gali Janardhan Reddy is an accused in illegal mining case. His Obulapuram Mining Company on AP-Karnataka border allegedly carried out illegal iron ore digging beyond the limits and even tampered the borderline of Andhra Pradesh-Karnataka. The Supreme Court ordered CBI inquiry on Gali and was subsequently arrested and put him in prison under judicial custody in Hyderabad. He, however, influence judges and came out on bail. The judges were suspended and Gali's bail was cancelled then.
Gali Janardhan Reddy was again arrested and shifted to Parappana Agraharam Jail in Bangalore. He was today produced before the court via video conference wherein court rejected the bail plea of Gali Janardhan Reddy and extended his judicial custody. Gali Janardhan Reddy was tourism minister of Karnataka.
