More IT zones in suburbs on the anvil

The sector that received tumultuous welcome from all governments seems to Information Sector. If sources are to be believed Hyderabad is sure to have three more IT zones on the suburbs which may give employment to more than 15 lakhs people directly and nearly 50,000 people indirectly as per an announcement by the state minister for IT, Ponnala Laksmiah.

Speaking to reporters the Minister said that the center has given the green signal for the expansion. The zones that are expected are between Mamidipalli- Raviryala, Adibhatla – Maheswaram and Uppal-Pocharam. And the new zones will be spread over a sprawling area of 50,000 acres.

It may be noted that already in the North-West direction of the city, we have a special zone named “Cyberabad” for the growth of IT sector in this region. As per the  planning for Urban development, the area is  considered as a special development zone, with a  separate authority named Cyberabad Development Authority (CDA).
