Police asks media not to telecast fabricated stories

The Hyderabad police commissioner Anurag Sharma has urged the electronic media to maintain restrain in the wake of immersion of Ganesh idols and the proposed Telangana march this 30th. He urged the news channels not to telecast speculative and fabricated stories for sensationalism. He made these statements in the press meet. It may be noted that immersion of Ganesh idols would take place on 29th of this month followed by Telangana march. So, some news channels allegedly telecast stories stating that there law and order might get disturbed.

While giving guidelines to the electronic media, Mr. Anurag Sharma has urged the electronic media to take visuals from a distance. Talking about security measures, he has said that additional security forces would be beefed up in the city. Also, he said Ganesh idol immersion would be completed early this year.
