Nation wide petrol Bunks shall work only for a half a day or some thing like 9hours per day, just like our timings. So better be careful to fill in your tanks in the morning than waiting till evenings. As per a communique from the Confederation of Indian Petroleum Dealers (CIPD) all petrol bunks with in the cities shall work between 8.30 am to 5.30 pm with lunch time between 1 pm - 2 pm. The bunks on the highway shall function between 7.30 pm to 4.30 am and the dinner time would be 9 pm -10 pm when the bunks will be closed. Till now most of the bunks were working round the clock but from today they shall work on timing basis. So better be careful to take care of your fuel tank, to avoid  trouble.

Sources inform that the timing was their  way to protest against the central government which was neglecting their demands. CIPD demanded a hike in their commission structure. They go on to say that their commission structure was the same when the petrol was sold at Rs 6 per litre till this day. In order to avoid loses the CIPD urged the government to increase their commission. To emphasize their demand, they adopted a novel way to protest.
