The Legislative Assembly sessions started today and will be on for next two days. This meet has been convened to discuss SC/ST special component plans. Initially, sessions were scheduled to take place only for two days but then the business advisory committee decided to increase the number of days to three in order to provide time for legislator to go through the content thoroughly and then plunged into discussion or debate.

This is, however, not winter session of assembly. The winter session is going to begin on December 10 and would continue till December 21. Opposition Telugu Desam and MIM parties welcomed the move to give legislative backing for thus special component plan. Nonetheless, they pressed for a similar plans for the welfare of minorities and backward communities.
