Telugu Association of North America (TANA) president Thotakura Prasad has said that TANA has been striving for the preserving Telugu language and culture in the United States of America. Mr Prasad, who visited Guntur, addressed the media. He said, on behalf of TANA, various programmes-both cultural and service oriented-would be held at different parts of Andhra Pradesh this month.
The programmes of TANA in AP include Janapada Kalotsavam, a special programme, which emphasizes on the significance of ancient art of rural areas. Janapada Kalotsavam would be held at Khammam on December 22. On December 23 and 24 seminars would be conducted on better farming on scientific lines besides organizing free medical camps. And on December 25, a convention on Telugu language would be held at Jubilee Hall in Hyderabad.
It has to be mentioned here that TANA is one of the most recognized associations across the globe, which has been bringing scores of Telugus on foreign lands onto one platform.
