After director Dasari Narayana Rao's generalized statements on heroes created much controversy, Darshakaratna entered the scene again to correct his words. He said his statements on heroes was a generalized one and not aimed at any particular persons. He even questioned as to why the media was trying to bring in differences between Chiranjeevi and him.

Dasari Narayana Rao said Chiranjeevi was like his son and supported the statements of Naga Babu, who said Dasari Narayana Rao's statements were generic. It may be noted that Dasari Narayana Rao during a book release has said that he gave life to many heroes and they now changed so much they think twice to even get up from their seats. Also, he said there were only three superstars—NTR, Amitabh Bachchan and Rajini Kanth. Fans of some of legendary actors such as Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, Kamal Haasan and Chiranjeevi were upset over these statements. Commenting on the same, Naga Babu said that it was mere personal opinion of Dasari Narayana Rao.
